Reminiscent of the daisy in appearance, Chamomile Roman has hairy stems, abundant white florets, and yellow disc flower. It thrives in silica containing soils and at low altitudes, growing to a height of 30 cm. Although not as strong as its German counterpart, Chamomile Roman of France is known to help soothe the side effects caused by inflammation in the skin and the body. Historically, it has been used in rural France to treat stomach pains, insomnia, migraines, and eyelid inflammation. The soothing aroma of Chamomile Roman facilitates the feelings of relaxation, which has made it a popular ingredient in Aromatherapy. Much like the tea, Chamomile Roman Essential Oil has a tranquil essence and is reputed to help one relax and feel rejuvenated.
